China Council
for the Promotion of International Trade Shantou Sub-council
(abbreviated as CCPIT Shantou Sub Council) /China Chamber
of International Commerce Shantou Chamber of Commerce,
is a local council of the China Council for the Promotion
of International Trade / China Chamber of International
Commerce. It is a local foreign trade and economic organization
consisting of personages from economic and trade circle,
enterprises and communities. Its tenet is to promote
foreign trade and investment under the guidance of state
laws and stipulations, introduce advanced foreign technology,
facilitate various kinds of economic and technological
cooperation, push forward the development of trade,
economic and technological relationship and strengthen
the mutual understanding and friendship between our
city and foreign peoples and economic and trade circles.
CCPIT Shantou
Sub Council parallels to other agencies of Shantou municipal
government and is under the direct leadership of CCPIT
and Shantou Municipal Government. Hereinafter listed
its major missions:
1. keep contact
with international organizations including commercial
and industrial circles or associations from HongKong,
Macao, Taiwan, invite and arrange the accommodation
for the commercial and industrial personage or delegation
from HongKong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries;
organize local trade and economic delegations to visit
or investigate HongKong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries;
cooperate with corresponding organizations in trade
and technological exchange and cooperation; take charge
of the liaison work with the representative offices
set up by corresponding organizations from HongKong,
Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries.
2. take charge
of the coordination and management of the trade fairs
and international expositions from HongKong, Macao,
Taiwan and foreign countries in Shantou; arrange the
invitation and accommodation of the trade and technological
fairs in Shantou hosted by HongKong, Macao, Taiwan and
foreign countries; host comprehensive and specialized
international exhibitions and trade fairs; coordinate
the local reception by other organizations for the trade
fairs in Shantou sponsored by HongKong, Macao, Taiwan
and foreign countries.
3. deputize concerned
parties in economic and trade arbitration cases, conciliate
economic and trade disputes, provide consultation services
in laws regarding international trade and economic cooperation;
issue the certificate of origin and other foreign related
authentications; issue the certificate of Force Majeure,
issue cargo temporary import documents for enterprises
or individuals (abbreviated as ATA document) and provide
the corresponding guarantee.
4. conduct economic
research and investigation, collect, compile and publish
economic information, provide consultation services
and information regarding economic and technological
cooperation to enterprises and organizations, edit and
publish printings, provide service for foreign investors.
5. guide and coordinate sub
branch and sub chamber affiliated to CCPIT Shantou sub
council, take charge of service and training for sub
branch, sub chamber and member enterprises.
6. undertake
all the other work consigned by municipal government
and CCPIT.
